Dreams do Come True
I’ve dreamed of finding buried treasures, of doing heroic deeds,
Of being strong and handsome, of running at amazing speeds.
I guess I’ve dreamed of everything that a boy is apt to do,
They gave me many pleasant times, though only one ever came true.
It was the one I wanted the most, the one that tore me apart,
For, I knew it would never happen, I was afraid it would break my heart.
I guess I worried too much but I didn’t know it would work out so fine,
That my dream would really come true, at the appropriate time.
Then, all of a sudden it happened, it made my heart beat so loud,
My dream became reality, and found me out of the maddening crowd.
My dream brought me a name; her name is Sandy Lee,
My dream girl is now my wife and she’s better than any dream can be.
